Alumni College – From Nazareth Academy to Spalding University: A brief history of a great university, with Dr. Kurt Jefferson, Dean of Graduate Education
This mini “course,” part of an offering we are calling “Alumni College,” will briefly trace the highlights of Spalding’s evolution as an academic institution with special focus on the past 100 years in downtown Louisville.
Dr. Kurt Jefferson is the Dean of Graduate Studies at Spalding University, supporting and enhancing the university’s 12 graduate programs while engaging with the Louisville community and promoting Spalding’s mission. He previously served as assistant dean of global initiatives at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. Jefferson earned a doctorate and master’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia after graduating magna cum laude from Western Illinois University.
