Spalding Seeks Visionary Leader for School of Nursing

Caroline HeineAlumni, News

Spalding University is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Chair of the School of Nursing (SON) to provide planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the nursing program.  Spalding’s School of Nursing, operating continuously since 1933 when it established the first program in Kentucky to offer degree opportunities to graduates of diploma schools of nursing, and the first in Kentucky to offer a 4-year nursing degree, has a long and distinguished history of educating a diverse cadre of front-line healthcare workers. The new Chair will carry on this tradition, while guiding the program into the future of healthcare education.

Recognizing the challenges and demands of the current healthcare environment as well as the pressures on higher education to offer affordable, flexible quality programming, and committed to Spalding’s mission to “meet the needs of the times,” Spalding is looking for bold, innovative and growth-oriented leadership to take the helm as Chair of the School of Nursing.
